Christian Abella’s passion for civil litigation is demonstrated by his deep fascination with employment and labor law in the State of California. Mr. Abella is an employment law litigator, with experience dealing with all types of discrimination and harassment claims, filed with administrative agencies and in California state and federal courts.
Prior to entering law school, Mr. Abella spent four years working in motion picture and television production on both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industry.
In the summer before his final semester at the University of San Francisco School of Law, Mr. Abella was selected for an externship with PEL, where he was able to apply his law school skills to employment litigation matters.
In his final semester at USF Law, Mr. Abella served as a Student Clinician within the Internet & Intellectual Property Law Justice Clinic. The IP Clinic gave Mr. Abella hands on experience with start-ups and small business owners across California and their pursuits in filing trademark applications, renewing trademarks, researching marks for likelihood of confusion, and responding to office actions issued by the United State Patent and Trademark Office. Upon completion of the clinic, Mr. Abella successfully obtained the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Certificate.
